Sipho Ramaru

Having your record going Gold or Platinum is such an achievement in our local music scene, considering the ‘Level’ of piracy in this nation of ours.
Congratulations are in order for the tswana rapper, Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper’s Tsholofelo just went GOLD. The Mafikeng rapper
took it to twitter today, making the big announcement;
“My debut #Tsholofelo
just went gold. Thank you for all the support. I appreciate it. Love you. God bless”
Tsholofelo is the debut album of the motswako recording
artist. . .Released digitally via iTunes on July 18, 2014 and hard copies of
the project were made available on the 31st of July under a distribution
deal with Oskido’s Kalawa Jazmee and Universal Music.
I guess this is a sign of hard work and effort put in the
album by the Doc Shebeleza hit maker, which he began working on it as early as
2011. The interesting part about this, is that the album dropped after #Levels
but hit the GOLD milestone first, will it reach Plaque??? We just have to wait
and see. . .I wonder how the hommie AKA feel about this.
According to Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA), a music album qualifies for a platinum certification if it exceeds 40,000 copies shipped to retailers and a gold certification for 20,000 copies shipped. This just humbled AKA yo, no lies. . .
I sense a diss track coming through from Cassper Nyovest, rubbing this in AKA's face! watch this space hehehe...

Congratulations to the homeboy Cassper Nyovest. . .Every
artist should work with a vision and make sure they grind in the direction of
achieving it. SA hip hop is growing and we proud of it!!!!
No doubt the Hip Hop game is growing in leaps and bounds. Shout to homie Nyovest for the hard work, following in the footsteps of Zakwe. We see you homeboy. Damn right KJF got humbled, hahaha can't wait for the diss track *rubbing hands like Birdman*
