KO AIDS RUMOURS INFURIATE KO’S MANAGER…

He has been hitting the gym and practicing a healthy lifestyle. . .

KO na'mantombozani

Sipho Ramaru

Once you hit the weight loss stage (especially when you are a celeb), already people will start making assumptions with all sorts of baloney. . . it’s just how it is. Twitter is already slaughtering the Teargas rapper KO with the terms “R Mashesha” “Teargas” and “You HIV status” trending and have been for the past few hours.

Rumours are now spreading like wildfire on social media that KO is sick and hiding it!!!

These rumours started going viral after a picture of the Teargas/CashTime Fam members with Maggz surfaced…people already began with speculations that KO may have AIDS, based on his dramatic weight loss. The comparison with Big Nuz’s Mashesha already hit rumour mill and twitter has been on a sway since. Photoshop has been on the grind since the early hours of today (Saturday), picmixing old pictures of KO with the recent one of him looking slimmer than how people know him.
The pic that got Social Media going crazy...
Zalebs reported that KO’s manager, Thabiso Khati slammed the AIDS  rumours when contacted to comment on the issue; “I’m not going to honour this rumour  with any s***, We have nothing to say on the matter”. He further went on assuring Zalebs that KO has been hitting the gym and now practicing a healthy lifestyle and encouraging people to join the drift. Hmmm. . . . .let us practice a healthy lifestyle and eat proper people, se kuy’gymwa lay’khaya!!!
What got the social media on overdrive is why would such a rumour start without any concrete evidence. . .Could it be that people are just being typically stereotypes or just jealous folks wanting to stir up some drama because KO is doing quite well in the hip hop game right now!! Having the hottest single ‘CARACARA’  with a super  scorching video featuring his fellow CashTime Fam member Kid X. . .one cannot even instigate to fux with the fact that KO is doing it big as a solo artist at the moment.

But then again, not everything we read or see on social media is true hey!!! Don’t believe everything you read kids!!!
TUPAC'S LAST WORDS. . . .

Tupac Amaru Shakur

Sipho Ramaru

he said: "f*** you" just before he fell into unconsciousness

So this retired cop came forth with 'some' information that he thought would be helpful. . .

Tupac said: "f*** you" to the cop who was the first one to arrive at the crime scene where Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight were shot at during a drive-by back in September 1996.

This incident took place after Pac and the executive of Death Row Records Suge, were driving in their black Beamer from a Heavyweight Championship Tyson fight in Las Vegas...

Former Las Vegas Metropolitan PD officer Chris Carroll says Tupac uttered the words to him as the wounded rapper lay unconscious in the officer's arms. After that Carroll says Tupac lost consciousness and was taken to hospital where he was eventually placed on life support.

If that's the only info this cop came with then I personally think there isn't a story there!!!
I mean how many times did Pac scream "f*** the police" in his times???. . .

nonetheless. . .that was going out gangsta!!!

I DO IT FOR HIP HOP!!!

Sipho-Hiphopsplit Ramaru...Hiphopsplit's Master
Sipho Ramaru

"HIP HOP IS MY PASSION…"

Pitch! Governs melody and harmony. Rhythm! Is associated with tempo, meter and articulation, and lastly, Dynamics! Where we talk creation of music, performance and the significance of music. All these are elements which build up an art form called Music. Music the father of many offspring, one of them being hip hop. Hoop along as I give you a glimpse of my life experience with this fella called hip hop.

Hip hop has to be that genre that made me fall in love with the urban youth movement which is now considered an urban culture. This is a culture that was initially introduced by two African Americans named Clive Campbell, known as Dj Kool Herc (a hip hop Dj from back in the 1970s) and Kevin Donovan known by his hip hop name as Afrika Bambaataa. The aims and objectives of this initiative was to establish a union that became a voice for the voiceless, end gang violence and also bring unity among African Americans.

Hip hop gave birth to different elements within its margin; that people can use their different talents to express themselves through this art form. Rapping, Break dancing, Graffiti and Poetry are the elements that form a complete culture defined as Hip hop. Hip hop was the most influential culture back in the 1980s in America and continued to grow with time.

My first experience with a rap song was back in 1997, it still dawns on me till this day. The song was ‘Do for love’ by the late hip hop legend, Tupac Amaru Shakur. I was still at the peak of my innocence in kindergarten. I didn’t know what it was, I couldn’t understand the words in the song but I just fell in love with the tune and I have been in love with hip hop since then. As I grew older, I began to absorb and understand what rap was about. My uncle used to play rap with his cassettes on his Tape Deck every Sunday morning.

My startling love for hip hop reached greater heights when my first born was conceived in 2012. I named him hiphopsplit; the name was initially supposed to be "hiphopspill" which emerged from the concept of me spilling hip hop content to the masses.

Hip hop drove me to start my own blog which is strictly about hip hop and all the elements it contains. My inspiration came from an American Hip hop journalist named Sway Calloway. During his career, he did a couple of Hip hop documentaries which included documenting the second biggest hip hop battle in the world, which was between two hip hop heavy weights, Nasier Jones (Nas) and Shawn Corey Carter (Jay-Z) respectively.

My long-term goal is to grow my hip hop blog to become the biggest hip hop online magazine in the continent and even across borders. I feel sanctified that my chosen career field enables me to pursue my first adoration, which is hip hop.
S.A HIP HOP FINALLY FOUND ITS NATIVE SOUND...

"the Caracara vid just makes one want to go to Mamelodi and ride in a Volkswagen Caravelle and go mad"

Tshegofatso Mokone

Lets Raise The S.A Music Flag Up High!!!

Yes! We are banging our own rap in our headphones. We are listening to ‘Original Makoya’ South
African samples and still world class tunes from our home-produced rappers. Like that lonely kid in the woods, we got lost in the American sound but the true Africans in us found a way home.

Our home grown rappers used to refer to money as cheese or bread or dough, the American way but since AKA and Da Les dropped Kontrol, we all about ‘Madibas.’ They brought it back home and still kept the swagger.

The hottest tracks in the land right now are (in no particular order): AKA’S Congratulate, Casper Nyovest’s Doc Shebeleza, K.O’s Caracara, Khuli Chana’s Hape le Hape part 2 and Major League’s The Bizness which features Ricky Rick on the hook and Siya Shezi and Nyovest on verses. All these super joints have South African samples in them and 808 beats that take us back to the kwaito days. Home brewed flavor always tastes better.

These blazing tracks have one thing in common, they all remind you of some old tune that you heard or loved. You know what they say about hit songs, "They all sound alike."

The video quality has also risen to an all-time high all the mentioned singles are complemented by super visuals. To add to the seemingly working retro-vibe wagon, the Caracara vid just makes one want to go to Mamelodi and ride in a Volkswagen Caravelle and go mad. An objective listener will notice that local rappers are taking it back, which in turn means original and authentic. This is an addition of the much needed Mzansi spice flavor that we have longed for.

We are on the verge of Afro-Hiphop here. It includes all the African melodies and the banging bass beats. That we will be getting benefits both ways. This trend stands to unite the old kwaito masters with the new school gang i.e. the Hape le Hape pt.2 track fuses the old Magesh track with the fresh youthful flow of Khuli and the rejuvenated Da Les. That means larger audience, better revenue and quality music for the South African faithful. Think about it!!!
I NOW GOT 100 PROBLEMS BUT A B**** STILL AIN’T ONE…

Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Big Guy and Solange walking out the Hotel

"He ain't nothing but a b****.
best believe i'll slap that b****  AGAIN. try me boy"

Shawn Corey Carter aka Mr. 99 problems official got the 100th one!!! The Holy Grail rapper got into an altercation with his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles in an elevator while attending a Met Gala After Party last week at the Standard Hotel in New York City.

Jay-Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce’s sister, beating, kicking and evening throwing Jigga with her purse inside an elevator while Beyonce was just chilling looking at her husband getting whooped by her sister. The 27year old sister just lost it and went crazy on Hove…at one point, Solange smacks Jay with her purse and contents fell out all over the floor.

The video clip contains no sound as it was captured on surveillance camera installed inside the elevator obtained by TMZ which is a publication in the US and that’s when the video went viral on social media. A buff fella, who is assumed to be a bodyguard, tried stepping in between Solange and Jigga to stop Solange from assaulting the rapper but she went on throwing kicks, being on some Cheng-Fu tip on Jay-Z.

This single handedly stripped Jay-Z off his dignity, with the public mocking him on social media, photo-shopping his pictures and making fun of the rapper. This got worse when Solange started posting tweets about how she’d whoop that b**** AGAIN: "try me boy", she said on twitter. I mean if you were to get assaulted by your sister-in-law while your wife is just chilling watching, then it can only mean one. . .she confides in her and knows about your business!!! Solange went on tweeting "he tried the right one. I keep telling yall that n**** ain’t bout that life. U hit my sis I hit u h**. Talk what you know! Y’all don’t know sh**"

When they eventually exited the elevator, Jay-Z, Solange and Beyonce walked out the building heading to theirs cars, Queen B and Solange got into the car together while the security escorted Jay-Z to a different one. Whoa. . .whatever Jigga did must’ve been pretty serious for Solange to go all berserk on him!!!

PHENOMENALLY FOCUSED AND HARD WORKING!!!
Brixtone

 Sipho Ramaru
Phenomenal! Is the word he uses to best describe his new offering called ‘Phenomenon’ which is his new project that is produced by phenom. . .Everything is just phenomenal about this hommie.
Coming up from the streets of benekant Mamelodi (a place most people love to hate), having passion for the rap game and everything he gets involved in, Brixtone is an artist, video director, producer and record label founder who grabs every opportunity that comes his way with both hands. . .When the hell does this fella get the time to rest??? And oh he’s also a part time photographer, ‘all in all there’s no sleep’!!! dudes be working for that cream.
Brix says there ain’t no time to relax, you always gotta get work done and keep pushing because that’s the only way you can make it to the top (legitimately). Now I think we can both agree that this statement can be supported by everything he does and is involved in. Founding a record label two years ago (2012) and doing everything starting from being the C.E.O, rapping and producing just to mention a few, Brixtone believes in establishing a name for himself and rappers he grew up with and not depending on major labels to do the job him you know. . .exploit him and dump him, like a lot of cases we’ve heard of labels ripping artists off and abandoning them after they’re done with them.
The aim behind the conception of establishing his own label was to get rappers off the corners and get them to drive their dream in the game the direction they want. Bully Music Entertainment believes in recognizing, unrecognized talent and growing a sense of having a common goal and then raising the flag of local hip hop up high and just making good music for the love of it! You sure it’s not about the money? Hehehe…
“There’s been a lot of growth in SA hip hop and platforms continue to be created to grow it even more. Our local radio stations like Thobela-Fm have adverts where someone is rapping, advertising a brand of a certain company; even SA awards now have a category for hip hop. Artists come up with their own styles with the likes of the Xhosa rapper, Ifani”. We cannot doubt the fact that our local game is growing and originality is what will keep you in the game for a very long time (in fact, for as long as you want to be in the game). I mean if an artist can say “Fifty Gees a show, hey a n***a ‘bout to top it”…you know which artist says that right? Yeah. . .so such things makes you see and acknowledge the fact that SA hip hop (and the artists), is doing quite well and people eat off it.
Brixtone portrays himself as a businessman man in the entertainment industry, not just an entertainer in the showbiz. ‘Hard working, open minded and willing to learn’ are words that describe. He urges upcoming artists to always have a backup plan in case it doesn’t go down well in your chosen field of entertainment. Getting to the top and eating 100% of his revenue is the ultimate goal at this point. Stay focused hommie!!! Hiphopsplit wishes you all the best…….
