Sipho Ramaru“I saw my life flash in front of my eyes”
I can imagine the trauma Khuli experienced when he saw those bullets gunning at him.
The hip hop star went through some snags with the police after he was shot at, being mistaken for a suspect who was on the run earlier on the day of the shooting.
The rapper sued Police Minister Nathi Nhleko for over R-2 million for the incident which occurred in October 2013.
The Motswakoriginator just released a joint based on his experience of that night. He expresses the emotional shock he went through, and being the dope rapper he is and always has been, He uses his techniques and wordplay to murk the joint. Khuli comes through pulling no punches and hitting where it hurts, you know what I mean by that, spitting the truth about our……police force.
He compares his situation to the Marikana incident where over 30 people lost their lives in 2012, fighting for a better salary to provide for their families. The track reminds me of the controversial 10111 by the Motswako rapper, Mo’Molemi which was banned from commercial radio stations.
Khuli said that the minister must pay for the emotional trauma and psychological stress he suffered. In that law-suit, He also included loss on income as he was on his way to a gig in Pretoria. But the case was later dismissed after there was an out-of-court settlement with the police and his lawyer.
“I forgave, and from the time I decided to forgive. . .you know, I experienced more miracles"
