“Rap game its street game it don’t sleep/ it’s a cold world you better pack your own heat”. . .hehehe the twar (or beef, if I may call it that), between Cassper Nyovest and AKA takes me back to this joint ‘Mi Casa’ by Redman & Methodman. Basically what I get from this line is that, it is cold in these streets and you always gotta have your own back because not everyone will always be there for you and not everyone will ‘Congratulate’ you on your success.

Cassper Nyovest and AKA went at each other on twitter after Cassper tweeted that #Doc Shebeleza has more hype than the  #SAMA20. Then AKA started posting up some tweets saying that his song ‘Congratulate’ is number 1 on iTunes and not on Zippyshare (meaning that he gets paid for every download on his song from iTunes, unlike Cassper where Zippyshare is free downloads) hahaha classic!!! Then he took it to an extent of uploading an image of his Awards and saying “thought I’d post this ….Just to remind you who you f***** with….”. Would you say AKA was being a little arrogant? But like he once said; “Now everything I do was under the spotlight/ but you can never be the new kid on the block twice”. . .you right AKA, allow other children to shine.

This twar (twitter war) got fans glued on these fellas TimeLines being entertained by what could be the next local hip hop beef from two of the most hottest rappers in the country right now! It was actually funny when Da Les ‘aka’ Mr. @2FreshLes went on twitter; “Look I don’t want to hear any artist saying they got the number 1 song in the country right now unless you my bro AKA”.  I just think the homeboy need to fall back and let AKA fight his own battle. . .This ain’t no crew thing, Don’t interpose son!

But then looking at what the hullabaloo is about, I’d say fellas are just gunning at Cassper Nyovest for tweeting that his track #Doc Shebeleza is the biggest in the country right now and which is undeniably true! Most people are feeling this joint and you can tell that by Cassper’s TimeLine and his facebook account as well.

Could this be that AKA can’t stand seeing other rappers being hotter than him? Why not give respect where is due AKA? Come on son, South African artists should be focusing on pushing the rap game together and taking it to higher levels, not gunning each other down when one achieve success. Cassper Nyovest is without a doubt the hottest rapper and doing it big in the game right now (no dis to to other rappers) lets allow those who shine the opportunity to do so! And ‘Congratulate’ brother. . .Give credit where its due!!!

Super chilled flows with a more laid back style, Schoolboy Q got his game on. Many would agree with me that Oxymoron is a dope album and Schoolboy Q deserve all the recognition and the hype around his album. The 17 track project got hits like ‘Man of The Year’ (dope tropical video with some fine honeys) hehehe...’Collard Green’ which he kills with his T.D.E homeboy, the proclaimed “KING” Kendrick and ‘Gangsta’.

The album is well produced and got proper joints and you can’t doubt that it is one of Schoolboy’s masterpieces. He has worked with well established artists like 2 Chainz, Tyler The Creator, Kurupt and the Wu Tan Clan master, Raekwon. The quality of the album is also on point just like the joints in it! The album cover got Schoolboy Q in his hat (you know his style) and got on a ski-mask

The project got dope beats for sure, but the lyrical content is not that mean. I think he went a lil’ too soft on some of the joints. But the dude got a fresh new skool style and coming up well in the game.  It is only a matter of time before they jack the game as Kendrick has already creeped his way in… Top Dog Entertainment got talent and young ambitious rappers. The question is, Are the other members of T.D.E gonna be as hot and killin’ like Kendrick does???
